This is a rant, mainly, all about ntl: so bear with me or just dodge this article if you’ve no idea what they are or if you’ve no interest what-so-ever in them.

ntl: supply me with telephone, cable television and broadband internet access. We were previously with Diamon Cable here in Leicester before ntl: took them over and merged the majority of the UK’s cable co.’s into them. Telewest having pretty much the other half. Anyways. ntl: has had a pretty eventful past having just emerged from Chapter 11 re-organisation.

I’m a regular reader of the nthellworld bulletin board and have come accross a few people, well one in particular who just don’t seem to obey common sense.

ntl: currently holds a lot of the franchises for London which were built by Videotron, rather shoddily. Basically most of the cabling needs relaying and that’s going to cost money. Understanably this is going to be expensive as it’s London. Some people think that ntl: can obviously just relay this cable straight away after coming out of Ch 11 and not having much money. I mean what’s going on with that?!

Anyway, I’m just really glad that Diamond Cable built their fibre optic network well and didn’t cut corners as I’ve got a kickass service here!
