Today is so muggy it is unreal. I would really kill for one of Shakeaway’s Creme Egg milkshakes. For those of you not living in the south, or not always visiting friends in the south you should head over to their website and check out who/what they are and then just drive to whichever is nearest and sample one. Or do what we did and try to make one at home (!)

The idea is simple. Get everyone’s favourite confectionery items, a big dollop of ice cream, a helping of milk and put them on full in a blender until all the sweets have been sliced and diced. Serve in a yellow and blue cup with a funky straw. Voila!

Creme Egg is my favourite and Charlotte’s is Lemon Meringue.

…then you know it’s something special. Also they are one of the few places in the Uk that sells the American Oreo biscuits. Yum.

I wish I was back at work though, it’s 18c in there even with the sun pounding through the glass roof. Cold and beautiful. I just wish I could replicate that here or in the car.
