The not-so easyInternetcafé

eicOkay, so normally I’m a big fan of Mr Stelios and his amazing orange business. Today not so. I have been using easyInternetCafé in Manchester Exchange Sq. to do all my postings and general internet stuff for the past month or so and all is great. It’s big and it works, mostly.

However it does cost me £2.20 on the train to get there and back and there is a walk from Picadilly station that takes about 15 minutes and means I get to be offered about six Big Issues. So I had a look at their site and saw if there was another one nearer. Which there is in Fallowfield which is probably half way between Stockport and Manchester. Best bit is that it is located in a Sainsbury’s which means I can park there and not pay anything.

And that is where the good news ends. The machines here seem slower, the monitors are all knackered and the keyboards find it hard to keep up with my typing and have a horrible feel to them. Worst part of it? They don’t offer day passes! Which is my favourite thing about them anyway. For £3.50 I can surf for 24 hours on whichever computer I like.

*sob* I guess it is back to travelling by train then.

I really want to go to a LUG meeting, but I’m scared!

Happy Father’s Day to all fathers in the world.

Also, why is nobody on MSN when I find the 3 hours a week to use the internet? Damn luck.
