God, it’s been a week and a half. Well, probably, two in fact. The boss’ wife has had her kid and he is now off for four weeks for ‘paternity’ leave. Problem is I have no staff! Or at least I have no staff with passes. Which is a problem when you have a shop on the other side that needs people in it to run. After all these security scares it’s now our busiest shop which makes it all the more important. *sigh*

I’ve been shift running the past few days which means I’ve been buggered in that I can’t get any actual manager-y stuff done. But at least I’ve had the shop looking nice which is more than most of my staff can do! God, if I could kill the lazy son-of-a-bitches I would. Well, most of them.

Sorry, I just hate people without a slight splashing of intelligence and common sense…

So, next week I’m going camping with the other managers from the area and have to get a sleeping bag. I’m not really looking forward to that, but I guess I gotta go. The conference is in November and I’ve booked my plane tickets to Gatwick with most of the guys from up North so that saves the long journey by train or car and it’s cheaper too.

And, now, to the biggest problem of all. I need somewhere to live! As of the 27th my stay at Clare’s will be up, but due to the fact that I’m lazy and also due to the fact that I’ve spent the last two weeks in work till all sort of late hours, usually around 11pm, but has been as late as 1am I’ve just not had a chance to check anywhere good. I’ve got a viewing on Saturday and a couple of other hopefuls but I really need to get my act together if I don’t want to live in a cardboard box.

I’ve still not completed GTA:San Andreas but I have managed to get another girlfriend, so that’s good as the last one was whiney as hell.
