The Canadian rockers with how I think the video for Aguilera’s Beautiful should of been. I love the woman with the instructions of how “to make her self pretty” markered onto her skin, the girl with the slashed wrists writing “I hate my life” and the soldier picking the shit off his hat. And I love how it goes from black & white to that funky green colour at the end. The song is obviously just about how fucked the world is these days and how it doesn’t make sense. I feel that.

So, I’ve been listening lots to Simple Plan lately. Mainly because it’s not as upsetting anymore and also because they rock muchly. This song is so true for myself and probably a shit load of other people as well. You may think we’re happy, you may have a perfect life. But I’ve not and even though you keep telling me it’ll be okay it most likely wont.

Firstly apologies about the video, it’s 8 years old. But I absolutely *love* this song. In fact I pretty much love everything and anything from Fastball. I’m sure you’ve heard it before as it’s been in numerous films and on the radio. But it’s short and sweet.

Barenaked Ladies, my favourite band of all time, or at least in the top 3. I love this song, fantastic for singing along to and the video has added bonus points for featuring cats eye view It’s all about how love has not changed over the ages, it’s always the same and it’s all been done before. So, don’t think you’re special!

What is it with me and Canadian bands? Anyways, I like this song. It’s an old one but I’ve only just recently discovered it on Last.fm as it seems to be playing me a lot more OLP lately. Who knows why last.fm does what it does? I would of thought it would of given up and giving me Eminem after the amount of times I’ve “banned this track.” Anyways, the song? Pretty straight forward, I think.
