Tyres, madness and some loose ends…

tyreAgain, I do appologise to being MIA for the past two weeks with just posts on music and not a lot else. I’ve, unfortunately, been very busy with work and other such niceties. I have, however, had some highlights and some lowlights so I’ll go with that. However, it is 2.33am and I’ve just driven for six hours so please bear with me if I doze off in the middle or ramble more than usual ;)

* Last weekend was an impromptu visit to Woking to visit Crishna and finally meet the lovely Han of MoleTalk/TribeTalk and London Calling fame. She’s cool and made taking the piss out of Crishna’s disability ever the more fun. However, I was outnumbered in both girl/boy and Northern Accent/Southern Accent. And yay for me getting a mention on her blog. So, er, woo and yay.

* This weekend was spent again in Woking visiting Crishna in what was meant to be a stopover to make the journey to pick TianTian up a little easier and also to rescue my laptop. However, instead, I managed to break *her* laptop. So after trudging around PCWorld and Curry’s and then the Dell website Crishna has now decided upon a new computer. Yay! Just as an aside PCWorld’s “internet prices to take home today” is a load of crap. The two models that we were interested in were both completely sold out and he told us “to order them from the website.” Oh, well Dell has the money now and will deliver sometime before the 7th September. Alas, no visit to Box Hill this week!

* Today I went to Heathrow twice. Firstly to go see an old friend who I used to work with in Leicester as she’s now a Sales Manager at T2. We had a drink and then I hung around till she’d finished her shift and then went for some dinner. And I didn’t have to pay! I must visit old friends more often.. ;) And yay for getting myself another offer of a bed to crash on if I ever am in the area. A few hours later I navigated once again around the maze that is Heathrow’s “Ring Road” and headed back to T2 to pick up the Chinese one. She’s back and not ill this time.

* The drive back from Heathrow was eventful! Stopped at Oxford for a KFC as I was starved. Just north of J11 on the M40 and I hear a noise… fucking tyre blows out. No AA cover, so I did an “at the road” sign up which means you pay an extra £40 on top of what the premium is normally and an AA man with a van trundles up. The spare tyre for a 206 is, unfortunately, slimmer than the actual tyres as a space saving measure so it’s really only for emergencies as it shouldn’t be used at above 50mph so it meant a limp from Banbury all the way back to Liverpool at 50mph. That’s 80kmh for you weird metric-ites. Three hours later and after almost falling asleep numerous times and I’m safe and sound at home and with the lovely task of going to KwikFit (or similar) tomorrow and getting two new tyres.

So I’ve learnt a few things this weekend.

* MBR’s can and do fail and when they do if you don’t have a boot CD or a spare computer to fix the problem you’re pretty much fucked.
* Heathrow is a BITCH to drive around. However, I want to work there and have asked for a good word on any new jobs to be put in for me.
* Tyres should never be left to go bald, they QUICKLY develop a hole when doing over 1000 miles within a week and will blow out, usually when doing about 70-80mph and it’s not fun.
* Ordering a laptop takes an age, even from Dell.
* Catching up with old friends and meeting new friends is fun.

And as for the one that broke the old blood pumping machine… I’ve put the pictures up here for you. It was too big to email as I didn’t know what you wanted and I figure if I put them all up you can chose what to keep and what to dump. They’re just full dumps of the folders that were you+others. I’ve not sorted through so there may be some of you+me, apologies. Hope that helps.

Anyways… I’m gonna go jump in my lonely double bed and pray that the night fairy brings me something comfortable to snuggle up to :)

can i die yet?
MrB

    Thanks B!

And no, you can’t die yet. Because I said so :)

Didn’t you give up the right to say “because I said so”?

Anyways, bitterness aside, please tell Curtese that I hope she gets better soon?

    Ta.

I didn’t only have the right to tell you not to want to die when I was your girlfriend.. I think anyone who cares at all about you would tell you that, whether you liked them back or not.

I saw her today so it won’t be till next week. Do you know why she’s in?

Ah, maybe I’m just jealous of the fact that you’re so fricking chirpy… who knows.

No, I don’t know why she’s in. I’ve not spoken to any of your friends since we broke up… so y’know.. Out of the loop and all.. But, whatever it’s for, I hope she gets better because she’s a nice girl and I hope the photos made her feel better and I think that ends my involvement in this? So, go enjoy your life and if you need me again, you know where I am… always ready to be used and abused ;)

And if you ever really need me get my new mobile number off of Crishna, because however I feel now I’ll always be there for you.

Have a good life and I hope it brings you all that you deserve.

    B.
