So, I’ve been pissing around with Flickr this evening just uploading some pictures that I liked that *were* in my old gallery before that went tits up and broke my loverly hosts server. Anyways, whilst I was there I was looking through some of my stats and it’s a bizarre mix of what is in my top viewed photos… Anyways, here goes…
My picture of a Hershey’s Cookies & Creme bar has had 304 views, not including myself.
A picture of my 206’s instrument display panel has recieved 201 views. Third and fourth place are also pictures of my 206, with 185 and 124 respectively.
In fifth was a picture I took from the balcony at work of the check-in queue at LJLA on a day when fog had stopped a lot of flights. 121 views.
Sixth place went to a picture of my hand… Oh, and also the beautiful Nokia n95. Spookily taken by the n73. Anyways, 81 views for that.
Seventh went again to LJLA with another picture from the balcony, this time at Champion’s League time. 62 people wanted to see that.
A nice black and white image I took at a Tesco back in Leicester got 56 people all happy.
A picture I took of the first WHSmith Travel at a motorway service station (because I’m sad, k?) got 55 people’s attentions.
And 54 people clicked on this picture of a Tesco in Stockport, Cheshire because they wanted to know what the place I got my shopping at looked like.
Apparently, the picture of a Fish Statue is my most “Interesting” followed by a picture of some barbed wire.
Well, we live and learn, don’t we?

That’s because someone marked your fish statue as a favourite. And who took that pic, huh? Me!
And t’was I marked the barbed wire as a favourite, because I’m odd.

Well, that’s what I thought… but they aren’t the photos with the most “favourited” status.
So not sure how intresting-ness is worked out?
I thought it was a combo of faves / comments / views.
It must be in some way, but the weighting for which I can’t work out. Because just because something is a favourite doesn’t automagically mean it’s high on the list, same with views. And also if something has high views/high favourites it doesn’t appear high up either.
As for the picture of your leg. I’d imagine it was because it was your most recently added picture for way over a month. And the first picture in a set is always more popular than any others.
Only if someone is looking at my pics specifically - hard to believe!
Except for, of course, search engines which will be visiting every few days of that month when you’ve not updated and keep “viewing” the same picture.
