Harnassing the power…

So, I’ve changed the plugin software that I’m using to run my “photos” page. Basically about six months ago the lovely solution of PHPGallery used to process and store all my pictures on my own server. Which was good because I could theme it how I like and make it look like a part of the site. When I moved to flickr after having numerous problems with PHPGallery I lost the ability for it to look like a part of my site. Then I found FAlbum which was a WordPress plugin which made my blog and gallery co-operate nicely and look fairly good together. I’ve now updated to a plugin called Flickr Photo Album which seems to do the same job as FAlbum, only in a way that I can edit the template files much more easily and create a layout which I like. It’s a good solution as I get to have the customisability (is that a new word?) but with the power of flickr’s API behind it. So, Geotagging, hefty bandwidth, fast servers and insane tagging and searching opportunities. My photos will always get higher views when on flickr compared to a local hosting option due to flickr and Google both indexing them.

So, without further ado, the photos section! Go look…

Today was the first day I had to do a presentation on counter selling to the area now that I’m “Counter Selling Champion” which seemed to go quite well. We’re 3/6 area at the moment… let’s see if that gets better :)

Anyways, that’s all for today. Tired.

here’s to looking back
