Merry Christmas and all that festive crap to you all!

I don’t really have a lot to say, apart from the December-y bit above.

* Work Christmas meal was last week, or the week before maybe. Went well, or at least for the part of it that I managed to get to. One of our insanely clever part timers managed to take home the shutter keys to close up. So I rang him and told him to get a taxi in to bring them back, apparently he felt “like the boss” when he wore them round his neck. When the keys finally arrived we thought we could finally close the shop and get the mini bus to Manchester for the three course dinner, PRAWN COCKTAIL! Oh, no, the person who opened that morning had managed to get the shutter to fall off the runners so as we were lowering it down it just broke completely. Anyways, long story short engineer came out… but instead of getting there for 9 I had to drive and we got there for just after 11. Just after the food had been cleared away. It was a really good night though, although I managed to get a can of Red Bull poured over my head. And I didn’t even touch her! :/

* Whilst there has been a lack of How I Met Your Mother/Chuck/Big Bang Theory/Boston Legal I’ve been downloading tons of shows. S1-7 of SVU for example… Also lots of L&O:CI, Numb3rs, House and anything else I can lay my hands on. Damn these writers.. start writing again biatches!

* Work wise, everything is pretty much okay. Staffing is tight because of Christmas, I’m in Boxing Day but I’ve managed to get a few days off over Christmas / New Year. I seem to always end up getting New Years off, even though I always say I’d prefer to work it as I’ve got nothing planned and last year ended up going to bed before 2007 even came around. Anyways, hay-ho.

As for tomorrow we’re off out to a restaurant for the family Christmas dinner, which should be different… As for tonight, I’ve got the house to myself and have the luxury of watching some TV. Although, Hallmark channel really isn’t on it’s top form tonight… No L&O at all!
