Post Apocalyptic

I am a big fan of Post Apocalyptic stories, films etc. I’ve no idea why but from when I was a kid I used to imagine a world with a lot less people in it. That all the adults had died, that only I and a few friends were left. That only I was left and that I had to be a hero. Anything that involved the world nearly ending.

I’ve no idea what this page is for, or what it will become. Essentially I want it as a place to link to some of my favourite sites for some of the shows and books that I’ve come across. Hopefully, you can find something here that you like.

TV Shows

The Tribe

A show where all the adults have died of a mysterious virus and are left to fend for themselves. Which, obviously, means they all dress up in bright clothes and don mucho make up. Although it’s very cheesy and the later series are that bad that I just couldn’t bring myself to watch them the first two or three aren’t bad and got me hooked.

DVDs: Series One - Series Two - Series Three - Series Four

Jeremiah

Again a virus created by man wipe out everyone “above the age of innocence.” We join the world 15 years later and centre around the world of Jeremiah a man with a sense of right and a bad attitude. After finding a new friend and a jeep they end up back at Thunder Mountain. An old fall out bunker and the HQ of Marcus, a guy with a view of making the world a better place. Really good series that has never really made it over here in the UK. We’re still waiting for S2, although i can’t see it ever making it. Was cancelled after S2. Shame.

DVDs: Series One - Series Two (not released)

Jericho

A new series currently (2007) airing on CBS in America and Hallmark here in the UK. A nuclear fall out has pretty much crippled the entire US of A. One town, Jericho, is plunged back into the dark ages without water, electricity and other niceties. Can one town with such a mix of people survive and actually find out what’s happened? And will they discover Robert’s secret? I’ve no idea, I’ve only seen the first 11 episodes! I like it, anyways.
