When a day that you happen to know is Wednesday…

…starts off sounding like Sunday, there is something seriously wrong somewhere.
So, ANYONE that knows me knows that I absolutely love John Wyndham’s Day of the Triffids, the tale of massive carnivorous plants taking over the world. There was an awful film made of the book in 1962 and then a really good, if flawed, version [...]

I’ve been acting like a child in your opinion, and what is that?

It’s just a different point of view.
I know I’ve littered my last few posts with pictures… but I’ve been insanely busy with work and… well, I’m lazy! Here’s another one anyway. Love it.

So the past week I’ve been an eco friendly kinda guy and commuting to and from work via the train and walking. Oddly [...]

I’m waking up at the start of the end of the world…

OMG! THEY ARE REMAKING DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS!!!!
I hear through the genius that is El Reg, the BBC has announced that it’s going to be remaking one of my favourite stories into a new 2 part high definition (really, 1080?) mini series next year. Filming will be in London and the South East (can I [...]

Dirty little town on the Thames is calling you away…

…I stayed up forever, tried to call your number.
W00t. I get to use my post apocalyptic tag for the first time in… forever. Last night was the first of a six part BBC remake of the 70’s Terry Nation series “Survivors.” It was really good in a we’re British and we make non-panicky end of [...]

You’ve got to get them in the head…

Okay, so I just finished watching Dead Set, the Big Brother/Zombie/End of the world E4 made for TV movie, thing. Mainly because certain people raved about it. But also because if there’s one thing I love it’s the idea of putting people who aren’t trained for an end of the world situation in one.
I think [...]
